Abstract

Dit boek is gebaseerd op een enquête bij 28 Nederlandse artsen met dyslexie die werden gevraagd naar hun studieverloop en naar de problemen waarmee ze in hun beroepssituatie geconfronteerd worden. De ondervraagden geven aan dat ze in hun studie vooral te kampen hadden met tijdsgebrek, dat ze problemen hadden met bepaalde tentamenvormen (onder andere meerkeuzevragen) en vermelden ook het gebrek aan kennis over dyslexie bij docenten. Een inleidend hoofdstuk geeft een beknopte synthese van de bestaande literatuur over het onderwerp. Daarna wordt de enquête weergegeven, gevolgd door de onderzoeksgegevens, die aanleiding vormen voor een aantal aanbevelingen en tips voor studenten en universiteiten. Achteraan bevinden zich nog een bibliografie, een lijst met nuttige adressen en websites, en zes bijlagen, met een oproep aan medici met dyslexie, de gegevens van de informanten, twee vragenlijsten, tabellen en grafieken.
